The “woodland” escape was a concept brought in by the client, with the woodscapes mural custom created by IDS studios.
I took this theme as the starting point for the 4000 sq. facility & created a continuum of the concept through out the facility.
Bringing in the right materials, textures & colors were key to compliment the animated mural & balance it with a softness that would provide the calm to the staff & yet keep the little clients enticed.
The flooring is a reflection of raw wood true to nature & takes winding paths of mud grey in the hallways & green paths in the Hygiene rooms. Details suchs as “foresty” green floor to ceiling tiles ,live edge counter tops custom made by Knock Out woodworking, furniture with hints of green , cartoonish signage ,fuse the concept further.
The flooring, wall coverings , laminates, counter tops are highly durable with a timeless appeal adding to the sustainable story in the coming years as they provide longevity & will not need to be updated for years to come.
